APEFOS TERMS, CONDITIONS AND POLICIES.
Apefos is a 35mm adapter designed to allow the use of 35mm SLR photographic
lenses (objectives) in video camcorders.
Maker is the Apefos inventor and manufacturer, who has the patent rights.
User is the people or company that buy and/or use the Apefos.
Apefos kit for sell includes the adapter and the aluminium base. Apefos with
canon eos ef bayonet includes a tool to unlock the bayonet pin. All other equipment
explained in this policies, terms and conditions are not included in the Apefos
kit. All other equipment showed in Apefos website is not included in the Apefos
kit.

User must pay the Apefos price and shipping to buy it.
Apefos price is determined by Apefos maker and can be changed anytime. Apefos
price is fixed in the moment of order and keeped for the user that did the order.
Another order from same user or from other user can have different price if
Apefos maker needs to change the price because Apefos depends on many parts
to be made.
Shipping price is determined by the brazilian mail service plus the box and
handling price.
Apefos uses trackeable shipping to users and it can be tracked online. Shipping
time are determined by the brazilian mail service but can have delay if customs
holds it for fiscalization or other reasons.
When doing order user needs to inform the 35mm SLR lens model and brand and
camcorder model and brand that user will use with Apefos.
Apefos includes one bayonet and user can order others if it is available paying
the price for each extra bayonet. Extra bayonets must be ordered together with
Apefos kit because they are calibrated to each user’s kit. Apefos maker
does nikon f, canon fd, canon eos ef, pantax k, minolta mc/md and olympus om
zuiko bayonets. Bayonets price is determined by Apefos and can change anytime.

The user needs to read Apefos instructions before buy and use Apefos. When user
buy Apefos it means user had read and agreed with the Apefos instructions and
Terms, Conditions and Policies.
Apefos ground glass is about 54mm diameter and users needs to frame inside na
imaginary rectangle of 36mm x 24mm to get better pictures. If user frames a
bigger area, the image can became soft, distorted and/or with vigneting in corners.
Images generated by apefos and 35mm SLR lens attached to Apefos is inverted
left to right and upside down. There are two solutions: user can shoot with
camcorder upside down or shoot with camcorder in normal position and invert
the image in capture or post production. The image monitored by camcorder viewfinder
or lcd screen is always inverted upside down and left to right in any camcorder
position when using Apefos and 35mm SLR lens. Apefos maker recomends the use
of an external monitor (not provided) during shootting to show image in correct
position. The external monitor may have a resolution at least 640 x 480 pixels
or 800 x 480 pixels to show the correct focus. User may use the focus assist
or peaking function in camcorder to get correct focus when using the camcorder
LCD or viewfinder. If camcorder does not have focus assist or peaking function
the correct focus just can be made using the external monitor with at least
640 x 480 or 800 x 480 pixels.
Apefos maker is not responsible for the Apefos utilization. The user is responsible
for Apefos utilization. If user damage camcorders, lenses or any other equipment
during Apefos utilization user is responsible for the damage and cannot ask
Apefos to pay the damages. Apefos is manufactured to offer good image results
when user follows the Apefos instructions, but Apefos maker is not responsible
for the results user will get using Apefos. So, if user gets bad results in
recorded images using Apefos and/or lose footage recorded using Apefos, or if
the Apefos utilization is not possible due to the need of cleaning or mateinance
or any other reason, the user, only the user is responsible to the damages or
losses it can cause to user and/or third persons and/or third parts. Apefos
maker recomends user always checks the image quality in an external hi resolution
monitor and check the sound in a phone during Apefos utilization.
The aluminium base size provided is almost the size of 33cm (13inch). This base
has a screw hole to fix in tripod and a screw to fix in camcorder. The screws
and screw holes are quarter of inch compatible with camcorders and tripods.
Apefos maker is not responsible to ship an aluminium base compatible with all
tripods and camcorders because there are lots of tripods and camcorder models.
Apefos units will be shipped in perfect working condition after tests. The Apefos
enclosure can have some marks because this marks does not prejudicate the image.
Apefos maker is not responsible to shipping issues like damages and/or units
lost in shipping.
Apefos optical corrections including barrel distortion, pincushion distortion,
vortex distortion, radial blur distortion, light falloff, vignetting, hotspot,
soft corners, chromatic aberration, curvature of field, texture elimination
and any other are considered minimizations in the Apefos POP model and considered
better quality in Apefos GEM model. User needs to follow the Apefos instructions
to get the best possible results.
Apefos was tested with 50mm lenses from canon fd, canon ef, nikon f, pentax
k, minolta mc, olympus om. And with nikon and canon fd lenses from 17mm to 300mm.
Apefos maker is not responsible for issues in other lenses when used with Apefos.
Apefos maker can upgrade or change the Apefos adapter anytime. Sold units are
non upgradeable. User cannot ask upgrades after the order of his Apefos adapter.
If user wants one new feature added by Apefos maker in Apefos after his order
user needs to buy another Apefos adapter. Apefos specifications and design can
change without notice.
Apefos is shipped clean. If some Dust or dirt lands in Apefos during shipping,
transport or utilization the user must clean it. Dust and dirt landing is not
a malfunction. The user is responsible to clean the Apefos. Apefos maker is
not responsible for a bad cleaning done by user in Apefos. Apefos maker does
not provide front and rear caps with Apefos adapter. Apefos maker provides a
plastic with zipper to protect against dust and dirt. If international users
needs to clean the apefos inside user can ask a step by step tutorial from maker.
To keep a better relationship between price and quality Apefos maker uses machine
made, well calibrated hard plastic parts assembled by hands in Apefos. User
may take care to not abuse Apefos to keep it working and to not break the apefos.
Canon eos ef bayonets has a lock pin but without a release button. To release
the slr lens Apefos maker provides a small tool. Canon fd bayonet has the canon
fd standard lock. Nikon, pentax, minolta and olympus bayonets are non lockable.
User can mount nikon or M42 lenses in the Apefos canon fd bayonet using a metal
adapter found in ebay for low price.
Apefos maker is not responsible by typographic errors in information sent by
user like shipping adress or techincal informations, so user needs to pay attention
in the informations sent to Apefos maker.
Apefos maker accepts money order or paypal only from international users. Apefos
maker only ask for payment when the apefos kit is ready to ship. Money orders
and paypal payments must clears before Apefos shipping.
Apefos maker sells Apefos kits when have the pieces to do the final assembly.
The final assembly is made after the user to inform which 35mm SLR lenses and
which camcorder will use with the Apefos kit. The final assembly of the Apefos
kit, tests and shipping are made by the Apefos maker following the order of
the received orders. The user should ask the Apefos maker how long it will be
necessary for the Apefos maker do the final assembly and the operation tests
before shipping. If Apefos maker does not have all the parts to do the final
assembly it will be impossible to specify the shipping date.
When the Apefos kit gets ready to ship the Apefos maker warns the user and asks
for payment. After this the user must do the payment within seven days. The
non payment within seven days means user does not want the apefos kit anymore
and Apefos maker can sell it for other user.
Apefos maker does threads in these sizes: 37mm, 43mm, 58mm, 62mm, 72mm and 82mm.
In case it is viable the Apefos maker can manufacture order threads of specific
diameter for the user's camcorder and in case it is not viable the maker can
inform and to offer to the user the thread that is available. Apefos can be
used with rings of thread conversion (step up / step down) in camcorders with
thread of different diameter. The rings of thread conversion are not sold by
the manufacturer of Apefos and they are not included in the Apefos kit. The
same Apefos adapter can be used in different camcorders changing the thread
or using step ring. The shipping of the Apefos kit determines that user have
agreed with the kit specifications.
Apefos maker does not recomend planing shootting with Apefos before it arrives
to user because user needs to learn how to use Apefos reading the instructions
and doing tests before get ready to shoot and because it can happens delays
in manufacture process.
In the first seven days after receiving the Apefos user can ask refund. After
seven days user cannot ask money back or refund.
After Apefos arrives to user, user have seven days to send Apefos back if user
decides do not keep it. The seven days are counted using the shipping tracking
number. The shipping back must be paid by user.
Shipping and handling money cannot be refund.
Payment fees and refund fees cannot be refund.
The refund, if aplicable, is done after the Apefos arrives back to Apefos maker.
If there are malfunctions or damages in returned Apefos user will receive a
smaller refund calculated by Apefos Maker. Refunds cannot be done before the
Apefos arrives back to Apefos maker.
To fix damages in Apefos the user must pay the shipping and the fixing price
and it does not matter if user ask fixing inside the first seven days or after
the first seven days. Apefos maker does not pay shipping to fix damaged Apefos
units anytime. Apefos maker does not send spare parts to users.
User confirms the reading and seeing of the Apefos informations and videos hosted
in Apefos web site to be sure when placing the order. Apefos website is www.apefos.com
The communication between apefos maker and user is done by email. The user cannot
say he/she did not received or read emails sent by Apefos maker. Apefos maker
keeps a back up with all emails sent and received to show the communication
with users. The apefos maker is not responsible for internet problems that may
prevent the user to receive or read the emails sent by the Apefos maker and
the emails that were sent successfully are considered received and read.
Apefos maker is not responsible if some adulteration occurs by hacker invasion
or by third persons in Apefos web site, but apefos maker will fix the Apefos
website if it occurs. Apefos is not responsible by the quality of videos shown
by Apefos users outside Apefos website.
The informations and videos in apefos site is protected by copyright laws and
may not be used without permission. User can put links pointed to Apefos site
in other web sites instead of using the apefos site content. User can show photos
and/or videos showing Apefos outside but cannot show Apefos inside parts. User
can show videos and/or frame grabs to show the results shotting with apefos
and saying the settings of use. Apefos maker can ask the users to follow the
instructions to get good pictures. If user shows bad quality videos and or frame
grabs done with Apefos, Apefos maker can talk about the user erros in internet
and other public comunication way and ask user to replace the bad images by
good ones correcting his errors.
Only the Apefos maker who is the inventor and has Apefos patent rights can manufacture
Apefos adapters. Apefos is patented and protected by law.
By placing an order, user accepts all Apefos terms, conditions and policies
written here and in the Apefos instructions.
